On the eve of the Montclair Film Festival, we’re proud to partner with NJPAC for this one-of-a-kind documentary event. Sing Your Song  gives an intimate look at the wide-ranging career of Harry Belafonte in his own words. Award-winning director Susanne Rostock covers enormous territory from Belafonte’s early years with the American Negro Theater and Greenwich Village folk clubs to his emergence as a star. Through it all, Belafonte maintained a steadfast dedication to battling for human rights, from Harlem to Mississippi to Africa and beyond. This remarkable film, a critic’s pick by The New York Times, inspires us all to do our part. (104 min)

Following the film, MFF artistic director Thom Powers will lead a conversation with Belafonte, director Susanne Rostock and producer Gina Belafonte.
