Fall Education Programs And Partnerships Announced
Festival Now Accepting Films for Consideration,
Kidz Shortz Competition Launch,
New Partnership with Montclair Art Museum Announced

November 3, 2014, Montclair, NJ— The Montclair Film Festival today announced

the opening of its annual film submission process. With opportunities for
consideration in six categories, including, fiction, non-fiction, world cinema, short
films, New Jersey films, and student filmmaking, the festival has expanded opportunities
for filmmakers from around the world to submit their work for the 4th
Annual Montclair Film Festival, scheduled for May 2015. Interested filmmakers

films.

Kidz Shortz
The Montclair Film Festival is also inviting submissions for its annual Kidz Shortz
youth filmmaking competition, sponsored by American Express. This program is
an opportunity for young filmmakers from around the country to showcase their
work and compete for awards and recognition. Selected films will be screened at
the 4th annual Montclair Film Festival in May 2015. Filmmakers from grades 4-12
are encouraged to enter their short films, free of charge, by registering at
www.montclairfilm.org.

A New Educational Partnership
The Montclair Film Festival is also proud to announce the launch of an exciting
new educational partnership with the Montclair Art Museum’s Yard School of Art.
The partnership will feature film education classes and screenings at the museum
during the Winter 2015 season. Full program details will be announced in November
2014.

working with partners like the Montclair Art Museum, the festival continues its
commitment to supporting our local institutions through outstanding film education

expansion into year-round programs in our community and beyond.”

Montclair Art Museum
The Montclair Art Museum, a notable, community-based institution with an international
reputation, boasts a renowned collection of American and Native American
art that uniquely highlights art making in the United States over the last three
hundred years. The collection includes more than 12,000 objects: paintings,
