King Kong

Co-presented with The Film Foundation, a non-profit organization created by Martin Scorsese, that is dedicated to protecting and preserving motion picture history. Montclair resident Margaret Bodde serves as its executive director and will introduce the screening. The festival is proud to present this classic work restored with support from The Film Foundation.

King Kong has spawned countless imitations, but there’s nothing like the original. This is a rare chance to experience it on the big screen: the ground breaking special effects, the allure of Fay Wray, and the spectacle of a monster running amok in New York City. Double your pleasure by bringing a youngster to discover it for the first time.

Restored by the Academy Film Archive in collaboration with Warner Bros. with funding provided by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and The Film Foundation.
