THE POWER OF THE DOG is the new film from the Academy Award® winning writer/ director Jane Campion (THE PIANO). In 1925 in rural Montana, brothers Phil (Benedict Cumberbatch) and George (Jesse Plemons) Burbank run their successful family ranch together, despite their differences; George is soft spoken and focused on political and business relationships, while Phil is tough and focused on the day to day life of ranching. Soon, their relationship begins to fracture when George falls for a local widow and decides to bring her and her son to live on the ranch, bringing Phil perilously close to having a long kept secret exposed. THE POWER OF THE DOG is a sweeping story of family and betrayal, love and loss and Montclair Film is proud to present it as the Closing Film of the 10th Annual Montclair Film Festival.
