S1: Filmmaking Bootcamp I – SOLD OUT
In this hands-on filmmaking bootcamp, students will learn the art of filmmaking from script to screen. Students will also learn the basics of editing with Adobe Premiere Pro. In each class, students will work both behind and in front of the camera, in both exterior and interior locations, so that they can gain as much experience as possible. All of this will result in the production of our very own short film which will be screened in our in-house theater, Cinema505, at the end of the workshop. Students will also have an opportunity to learn from the masters as they screen, analyze and discuss a variety of classic and contemporary films in Cinema505.
No prior filmmaking experience is required. (Class size: 7 – 10)
The fundamentals of improvisation are the fundamentals of life. Listening, agreeing, forwarding action, taking care of your partner, and so much more! You’ll be introduced to these lessons as you play games as well as create characters and scenes using a variety of improv and creativity exercises. Students will develop the ability to be spontaneous and collaborative, both of which are important acting tools. By working together on unscripted scenes, students will stimulate their imaginations and tap into their ability to think on their feet and be in the moment. The goal is to have a group performance at the end of our 10 day session. Number one rule is to have fun! (Class size: 7 – 10)
