In her third feature, the British director Clio Barnard (THE ARBOR and THE SELFISH GIANT) takes on the story of a family farm in the North of England that passes down to two siblings: Joe (Mark Stanley), a young man desperate to cash in on the property and leave it behind, and Alice (Ruth Wilson), who returns to the farm in the hopes of keeping the family tradition alive. The result is a stunning, immersive story of family warfare that cements Barnard’s reputation as one of our most innovative visual storytellers.
