Eighth Grade

$14 Regular
$12 For Members (not a member?)

As thirteen-year-old Kayla (Elsie Fisher) clumsily navigates her last week of middle school (the tail end of a disastrous eighth-grade year), she’s apprehensive about the new challenge of transitioning to high school. Born and raised in social media ubiquity, she struggles to reconcile the public image she curates online with how she lives in the real world. Elsie Fisher is pitch-perfect as the charismatic heroine of Bo Burnham’s exquisitely observed and surprisingly funny portrait of contemporary suburban adolescence.

Q&A with director Bo Burnham following Saturday’s screening.
