Thomas Lennon’s SACRED explores the touchstone moments that frame the lives of everyone around the world—birth, marriage, death, devotion—and does so with breathtaking beauty. Filmed by 40 different filmmakers from around the world, each documenting the specific religious traditions that take place within their communities, SACRED seeks to present a unified vision of the world, diverse in belief, but unified in our desire for rituals that connect our lives with meaning.

Our Monday, May 1 screening of SACRED will feature a live musical performance of the film’s music directed by composer Edward Bilous.
