A masterpiece of British drama, Ronald Neame’s TUNES OF GLORY is set in a regimental barracks in post-WWII Scotland. Commanding officer Jock Sinclair (played with steely determination by Alec Guinness) announces that he will be leaving his post, which has been given to Basil Barrow (John Mills), who seeks more discipline among the enlisted men. A battle of wills ensues, one that only tragedy can bring to an end. Montclair Film is proud to partner with The Film Foundation to present this beautiful new restoration of TUNES OF GLORY on the big screen. Restored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Film Archive and The Film Foundation, in collaboration with Janus Films and The Museum of Modern Art. Restoration funding provided by the George Lucas Family Foundation.
