In her latest film LA CHIMERA, Alice Rohrwacher’s commitment to portraying the magical joy of rural Italian life comes full circle. The film is the story of an ex-patriot Englishman named Arthur (Josh O’Connor) who has just been released from jail. Looking to reconnect with the lucrative black market in stolen antiquities, Arthur enlists a motley crew of local thieves to help him excavate the unknown treasures buried in the Italian countryside. But when the crew learn of Arthur’s special talent for locating archeological sites, their adventures soon become more complicated than they expected.
