Academy Award® winning filmmakers Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi (FREE SOLO) make the leap from documentary to fiction filmmaking with their new film NYAD, which tells the remarkable true story of athlete Diana Nyad (Annette Benning) who, at the age of 60 and with the help of her best friend and coach Bonnie Still (Jodie Foster), commits to achieving her life-long dream: a 110-mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida. As Diana relentlessly pursues her seemingly impossible goal, her friendships are challenged as well, forcing her to confront not only the ocean, but her own demons.
