The Montclair Film Festival is seeking Box Office Associates to join our team for the 2020 Festival, which will run from May 1st-10th. These part-time, paid positions begin the first week of April, 2020 when tickets go on sale and require daytime, evening and weekend shifts.  Some mandatory training sessions prior to April 1 are required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Box Office Associates provide customer service, cash handling, and ticketing services at our main headquarters box office as well as remote box office locations throughout the festival.  Box Office Associates represent Montclair Film on the front line, interacting with patrons, answering questions and helping our patrons have the best festival experience possible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Training on our PatronManager Ticketing System (Salesforce based)
• Maintain knowledge of festival events and assist patrons with purchase decisions
• Work regular shifts, including days, weekends and evenings as assigned
• Collect complete and accurate data from patrons
• Sell tickets and merchandise in advance festival as well day of sales
• Print and distribute will call tickets as necessary
• Answer phones and emails to assist patrons with ticket sales and inquiries
• Troubleshoot technical difficulties
• Follow proper cash handling procedures
• Maintain a positive attitude and a genuine interest in helping our patrons
• Ascertain and resolve patron concerns, requests, and/or complaints in a timely, courteous and informed manner.
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must work well under pressure, in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
• Attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable with technology, specifically connecting equipment and wifi connections
• Must be a team player, flexible, and willing to step in and help where needed, including non-box office related tasks
• Prior box office experience is a plus
• Experience with Salesforce, and specifically PatronManager, is an extra plus
• Housing and transportation are not provided
