Montclair native Dawn Porter’s documentary, Gideon’s Army was shown in the first of two sold-out screenings on Tuesday, April 30th. The film follows the dedication, triumphs, and failures of three young public defenders in Georgia and Mississippi. After the screening, Film Festival Executive Director, Raphaela Neihausen interviewed Ms. Porter, as well as local members of the ACLU and Essex County public defenders.
