Media literacy is a recognized factor in our country’s cultural and political landscape. All of us, and especially young people, are flooded, on a daily basis, with information coming from a multitude of media sources. Becoming more discerning of influential messaging is imperative for effective citizenship and a healthy democracy.

Montclair Film’s 2018 campaign has three major components: a kickoff Assembly at Montclair High School; the Media Mash-up Challenge and reception; and a special screening during the film festival.
