Screenwriters Lab (16+)

NEW! Screenwriters Lab

Do you have a concept or a script in progress that you’re ready to take to the next level? Perhaps you need structure and encouragement, as well as creative and practical feedback? This interactive, round-table writer’s room environment will help foster creativity and collaboration as students develop their own original short, feature or episodic television scripts. Under the guidance of Screenwriter and Instructor John Rotondo, students will read and offer feedback of each other’s work in order to help their fellow writers realize their script’s full potential. Understanding of basic screenplay structure, theme, story, plot, character development and film language is required but illustrative lessons will be integrated for reinforcement based on need and relevance. Screenwriting I is recommended. (Class Size: 7-10)
