Panel + Conversation

Emerging Black Voices

Free Panel!

The Montclair Film Festival, in partnership with our friends at the American Black Film Festival, are proud to present our inaugural Emerging Black Voices program, which highlights the contributions of up and coming African American professionals in the independent and documentary film community. Our 2017 class features three artists who have worked to create some of the year’s most unforgettable documentary films; Iyabo Boyd (producer, FOR AHKEEM), Sabaah Folayan (director, WHOSE STREETS?), and Yance Ford (director, STRONG ISLAND) will join us for a conversation about filmmaking, their mission as artists, and the wide range of ideas that lead them to their subjects and stunning new works.
