After mandatory placement in a provincial Middle School, a young teacher named Samet (Denis Celiloglu) begins working the system in the hope that he can be one of the lucky teachers to be appointed to work in the bustling city of Istanbul. But after bestowing small favors on a female student, Samet’s dreams become tenuous, calling into question his career and deepening his desire to escape from his gloomy life. But after an encounter with his colleague Nuray (Cannes Best Actress winner Merve Dizdar) grows into something much deeper, Samet must at last confront himself. Or will he?
