ARE YOU MY BROTHER? is a story about identity, belonging, and redefining the word “family.” It’s the journey of Oscar Iglesias, a Puerto Rican tattoo artist in North Carolina, who is searching for his biological father — who he happens to share with director Daniel A. Nelson. Oscar finds Daniel in 2023 and the ensuing two years become a journey with Oscar and the rest of Daniel’s family, as they meet for the very first time before Oscar’s sudden death in June of 2025.
