In her new film BIRD, English filmmaker Andrea Arnold takes her unique brand of social realism and her intimate understanding of working-class youth culture to new and unexpected places. 12-year-old Bailey (Nykiya Adams)  lives with her single dad Bug (Barry Keoghan) and brother Hunter in a derelict squat in North Kent. Left to her own devices by a disinterested and confrontational Bug, Bailey sets out on her own and discovers a kindred spirit in Bird (Fraz Rogowski), whose compassion shows Bailey a new way of seeing the world.
