In LOVE+WAR, Directors Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin examine the life and career of the decorated conflict photographer Lynsey Addario. Addario’s images have given us an unflinching look at conflicts in Ukraine, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, and beyond– Her above the fold photos have shaped public understanding of modern warfare. Knowing the risks and dangers of the work, Addario also seeks to create a life for herself that exists away from the battlefields, working hard to build a sense of normalcy that can provide her a loving respite from the dangers of her work.
