Directing Masterclass: Conversation With Ruben Fleischer With a screening of Zombieland (2009)

Learn directing techniques from a master! Ruben Fleischer is best known for his work as the Director of Zombieland (2009), Zombieland: Double Tap (2019), Uncharted (2022), Gangster Squad (2013), and Venom (2018). This workshop wil start with a screening of Zombieland (2009). After a short break Ruben will break down scenes from Zombieland (2009), share clips from some of his other films and discuss how he went about directing particular scenes, etc. Ruben started in the business the same way many of our students are: as a DIY filmmaker– he is keen to also share stories and lessons he learned from his early work as an independent filmmaker. There will be plenty of time for a Q&A session as well.

*Zombieland (2009) is rated R and has scenes of gore and violence, as well as crass language.
